Take part in the Champions Challenge
Champions Challenge is the brainchild of a group of mates who wanted to challenge themselves and make a real and positive impact to the lives of children with autism, and their families.
Champions Challenge will see teams of four undertake a tough physical and mental challenge, as they embark upon a one-day hike through a rugged terrain circuit starting at Mt Beerburrum via Tunbubudla, Tibbiroowuccum and Tibrogargan and finishing at Beerburrum. 100% of the funds raised will be donated to our charity partners Fight4Balance and a yet to be announced new partner to help children and youth with autism live their best lives.
Take part in the challenge in three easy steps
Register
The registration fee for a team of 4 is $1,200 ($1,000 for Early Bird) and teams have a minimum fundraising commitment of $1,000 ($250 per team member).
Participate
Registrations are now open so create your team and grab your hiking shoes and trekking poles out of the cupboard. With your help, we can change the future for children with autism, and their families.
Raise money
Funds raised support Fight4Balance who provide structured physical activity and inclusive fitness programs for youth with physical and intellectual disabilities. We are also in the process of identifying a charity partner who helps with employment of young austic adults and hope to make an announcement in the near future.
We are one team
All trekkers must be behind trek leader and in front of rear trek leader, the pace is a team controlled with an average pace of ~ 4.0km per hour. Remember it is not about your abilities, it is about the team’s ability overall.
Remember, this event trek is not a race! It is physically testing, but an empowering journey that recognises the support that Team Jacob and their Charity Partners give to children with autism to live their best lives.
